Ever wonder how people travel the world for pennies on the dollar using frequent flyer miles, credit card rewards, hotel points, and travel rewards? Learn how in this session.

I presented a version of this for the last two years at Minnebar, and I'm reprising it by popular demand.

This will be an introductory session for those curious or starting out in the travel reward game. In this session, we'll cover:

The basics of how travel rewards work. You'll learn the fundamentals of how travel rewards work with an example using Chase Ultimate Rewards, an easy-to-use bank rewards program that offers cash back, travel rewards, and point transfers to airline and hotel partners.

Easy airline transfer partners. I'll show you the airline programs I use most often to find business class international flights and cheap hotel rooms.

An plan to get started. I'll present an actionable plan that you can use to get started collecting and redeeming travel rewards using Chase Ultimate Rewards.

Enhancing your travel experience by buying benefits. Airport lounge access, companion certificates, hotel night certificates. How to think about buying these benefits at a discount with credit cards.

Cards I like. Credit cards I like for travel rewards and travel benefits. I'll share the cards I particularly like for travel rewards and benefits.

We'll reserve some time for a question/answer session at the end. And I'll stick around outside the room afterward to jam about travel rewards.
