As she has integrated into the IT Industry, she become aware that networking does not come naturally to a lot people. This presentation will help those who want to learn some basic tips and tricks on how to meet new people.
Jennifer started her career selling advertising for The Onion in Madison before they were online. She was using data visualization to convince skeptical business owners to purchase advertising. That relationship helped her move home to the Twin Cities and start her career here.
After a successful career selling software as a service she was feeling unfulfilled. Jen wanted to find a career where she could continually build and maintain relationships. At that time, she figured out that she had been helping people get jobs for years and should look into staffing. Not having any idea how to go about it, she found a Marketing Creative firm that would hire her for her sales expertise and teach her staffing. During this time she fell in love with technology.
Spending that last 6 years selling Microsoft technologies and learning the ins and outs of the hot IT market has prepared her for her current adventure. She now works for Beacon Hill Technologies and is excited to connect her great client contacts with talented IT people.
