Intermediate CSS - Transpilers, Libraries, and Frameworks 101

by Kate Kuehl | at Minnebar spring 2020 (canceled)

What is a transpiler? How's that different from a framework? We'll go over topics like this as it relates to CSS.

This talk will assume you know the basics of CSS, maybe even (but not necessarily) a transpiler like Sass, framework like Bulma, or library like Bootstrap. However, we'll go into why these work and how to take your CSS to the next level using principles like DRY (Don't Repeat Yourself), making your CSS more manageable and maintainable. We'll include examples along the way and you'll come away with a much clearer idea of how to use CSS effectively.

I started off my early days of coding when I was 10 years old on Neopets and MySpace with inline HTML/CSS. Since then, I've improved my CSS game drastically and am excited to give a talk on how you can up your CSS as well.
